With this HR analytics escape room you will increase the data-driven mindset of (HR) professionals in an innovative and fun way.
How do we increase the awareness, knowledge and expertise of our HR professionals in the field of fact-based decision making?
This game was originally developed for ABN AMRO. Soon it became clear that it is a very powerful and fun tool to make people aware of the pitfalls and opportunities of data-driven work. Next to that, we saw that People Analytics and fact based decision making are current topics at many other organizations as well. Therefore, we created a generic version of the escape room, that is available as a product for organisations. Various companies are now using ‘Analysis Paralysis’ to increase awareness of data-driven work in a fun way.
Analysis Paralysis is a serious game, suitable for small groups (4 to 6 people). It is possible (and recommended) to let multiple groups experience the game at the same time. Including introduction and debriefing, the game takes between 75 – 90 minutes. In the game, the fictional company Brightbase is attacked by the media due to an anonymous interview that was given by a treacherous manager. The team has to help the CEO of Brightbase to face the media, giving a thorough explanation of the situation based on hard facts. During the game the participants face the most common pitfalls and challenges of working with a data-driven mindset. During the debrief a link with daily practices is made, based on the experiences of participants during the game.
- Participants get acquainted with HR Analytics
- Participants learn how to apply a critical and data-driven mindset
- Participants experience the most common pitfalls and challenges that occur when working with fact-based decision making
- Participants experience time pressure, ultimate team spirit and fun
